Community Advisory Committee (“CAC”)
Pursuant to the Agreement, the Monitors will convene a Community Advisory Committee “consisting of NYCHA stakeholders such as NYCHA’s Resident Advisory Board; resident, community, and employee representatives; senior NYCHA managers; and other relevant stakeholders” to provide feedback on NYCHA’s progress in meeting the Agreement’s goals.

Town Halls
The Monitors plan to host town halls to hear from residents about their priorities, experiences, and questions. Information about past and upcoming town halls will be posted below.
Our next Town Hall will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. More information to follow.
Housing Development Visits
The Monitors plan to visit housing developments to examine conditions, witness challenges and progress, and speak directly with residents and NYCHA’s property management staff. Information about past and upcoming housing development visits will be posted below.

The federal Monitors will be hosting a Town Hall to hear from residents about their priorities, experiences, and questions.
The federal Monitors’ work focuses on overseeing and supporting NYCHA in its efforts to meet the promises it made under the “HUD Agreement” to improve living conditions for NYCHA residents, including:
• removing lead-based paint;
• providing adequate heat and hot water;
• reducing mold and moisture;
• providing adequate elevator service;
• managing pests and waste disposal;
• conducting inspections; and
• reforming NYCHA so it better delivers services to residents.

6:30-8:00pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025
